MEETING AMERICA’S NEEDS, RESTORING THE PROMISE
A National Forum on Helping Families who Live Paycheck to Paycheck
It used to be that putting in a hard day’s work meant being able to take care of your family. But for 30 million families, whom we call ALICE, that promise is broken. These hardworking Americans – our child care workers, home health aides, sales clerks – are employed in undervalued yet essential occupations.
We all pay the price when millions of American workers are unable to support their families and when American businesses can’t find and retain the talent they need.
A grassroots, collaborative movement of United Ways within 18 states, backed by visionary corporations and foundations, is bringing ALICE into the spotlight and working toward change.
Join us as we unveil new, national ALICE data; envision workplace development innovations; and celebrate the movement’s trailblazers.
